Licensed Esthetician · SoMa, San Francisco

Behind
the site.

Real credentials.
Real neighborhood.

Folsom Skin exists because the queer community deserves honest skincare advice — not content farms, not brand deal blogs, not advice written by someone who's never touched a client's face.

This site is run by a licensed esthetician based in SoMa, San Francisco. I graduated from the San Francisco Institute of Esthetics & Cosmetology (SFIEC) — right here in the neighborhood — and have held a California state esthetician license since 2018.

Every recommendation on this site comes from professional training, years of working with real clients and real skin types, and living in this specific city with its specific climate, culture, and community. SoMa's leather district, the Castro's drag scene, the Folsom Fair, Pride — I'm not writing about these things from the outside.

The goal is to give gay men, drag artists, and the wider queer community in SF the same quality skincare guidance you'd get sitting in a professional treatment room — without the gatekeeping, the upsell, or the $200 price tag.

Important: The content on Folsom Skin is for educational and informational purposes only. It is not medical advice and does not replace consultation with a licensed dermatologist or physician. Individual skin reactions vary. Always patch test new products before full application. See full medical disclaimer →
