💧 Beginner Friendly
Three steps. Under $60. Your skin will thank you in two weeks. No complexity, no 12-step regimens — just what actually works.
Because your skin is your largest organ, sun damage compounds for decades, and a 3-minute routine in your 20s–30s prevents a lot of problems in your 40s–50s. Here's the no-BS truth:
UV damage is responsible for ~90% of visible skin aging. One product, 3 minutes a day.
Soap strips your skin barrier. A gentle cleanser + moisturizer balances everything.
Hydrated, prepped skin holds foundation and coverage longer. Drag queens know this.
Morning and night. Takes under 4 minutes total. Stick with it for 2 weeks and notice the difference.
Wet your face, pump 1–2 pumps of cleanser, massage gently for 30 seconds, rinse with lukewarm water. Do NOT use hot water — it strips natural oils. Pat dry with a clean towel.
Apply a pea-sized amount while skin is still slightly damp. This locks in hydration. At night, this is your final step. In the morning, do this before SPF.
Apply sunscreen as your absolute last step every morning. SPF 30+ minimum — we recommend SPF 46. Apply to face, neck, and ears. This single product is the biggest investment in your skin's future.
Optional upgrade: add a serum (like The Ordinary Niacinamide) between steps 1 and 2 for targeting pores and oiliness.
Everything below totals ~$55–65 depending on sales. All available on Amazon with Prime shipping.
~$55–65
All four products. Lasts 2–3 months each. Costs less than a single spa facial.
Hydration and texture improvements happen within days. Pore minimizing and oil control takes 2–4 weeks. Significant skin tone changes take 4–8 weeks. Consistency beats product cost every time.
All four products in this kit are non-comedogenic (won't clog pores) and fragrance-free. CeraVe and Neutrogena are both derm-recommended for sensitive skin. If you're breaking out, give the routine 3–4 weeks — sometimes skin purges old buildup first.
For a starter kit, no — keep it simple. Same cleanser and moisturizer AM/PM, skip SPF at night. Once you've nailed the 3-step routine for 4+ weeks, you can consider adding a nighttime retinol (we'll cover that in a future guide).
Yes — this is a great prep routine for drag. Moisturized, primed skin holds coverage better and looks less cakey. Just let your SPF fully absorb for 5 minutes before applying any makeup base or primer.
